The hostess of the restaurant was extremely nice and replace it right away. And they did an amazing job at bringing the cake out and signing happy birthday to the birthday person. Overall really good just few things, but was rectified quickly.

I had a wonderful experience at La Station in Hull! I ordered the butterfly shrimp rice plate, and it was absolutely delicious — perfectly seasoned, fresh, and beautifully presented. The... (read more) portion was generous too, leaving me with leftovers to enjoy later, which is always a nice bonus. Even though the restaurant was quite busy, the service was excellent. Gen stood out for her friendly, attentive, and genuinely warm approach. She checked in at just the right moments — never rushed, never intrusive — and made the whole experience feel personal and welcoming. It’s clear she really cares about her guests. The atmosphere is another highlight. The music was at a comfortable level, so you could actually have a conversation without shouting — something that’s becoming rare! The vibe is casual yet inviting, perfect for a dinner with friends or a relaxed date night. From the quality of the food to the thoughtful service and cozy ambiance, La Station truly delivers. You can tell the team takes pride in what they do. I’ll definitely be returning to try more of the menu — that shrimp dish set the bar high!

(read more) today, October 20th, 2024. Very nice restaurant ambience, We were promptly greeted by a server as we passed by the excellent Halloween decorations! We were seated and serviced promptly by a very nice wait staff. She was great all around. So, I ordered the jumbo shrimp on rice, with veg. I was not too impressed, with the presentation of my meal, but that's fine, it's more about the taste anyway. The shrimp was from frozen it seemed, and misshapen, and a little mushy. The taste was passable, but the texture was not good. Fries, are great and the vegetables reasonable. I can be fancy, and I can be more pedestrian, but the jumbo shrimp dish is not something I would order again. I asked my two guests "How were your meals?", Not great were both responses, but we all liked the fries. I'm Not trying to make a problem, and as evidenced by my overall review. I just think, for such a Nice Place, they should totally up their game. I sense that they are achieving the correct level of quality for their clientele, and I suppose their business model is working well for them, as the reviews are high. So good on ya. Will I return? Not likely as there are better choices around. However, the price was right. Three meals at lunch with a tip, $100. Thank you for a pleasant afternoon.
