STORY
In July 1994, La Station opened its doors in Gatineau.
The concept behind the restaurant is unique. Initially inspired by a train station, La Station is full of delightful antiques and features a varied deli-style menu.
Among other things, customers will see a phonebooth dessert fridge, a train station bell and a black merry-go-round horse.
In November 2003, after nine years of operation, La Station began major renovations to revamp the restaurant.
February 5, 2007 was a sad day for the restaurant. After seeing flames on the roof at around 10:40 p.m., a customer entered the restaurant to report the fire, leading to the complete evacuation of the building. For several hours, around 75 firefighters battled the flames after the sounding of a general alarm. Unfortunately, the fire completely destroyed the restaurant.
On July 4, 2007, the reconstruction of La Station began, and on December 26, 2007, the restaurant reopened, to the great pleasure of our customers.
Today, La Station remains an Outaouais classic known for its ambiance, large terrace and excellent food.
